Shirley

Shirley is a qualified teacher and is teaching Maths for Key Stage 3 in an outstanding schools for exam boards AQA, OCR, Edexcel and IGCSE. She has a wealth of experience in teaching primary, secondary students for their maths needs from one to one to group settings at Champs Learning. She focuses on attention to detail and exam technique to boost performance.

Shirley regularly teaches exam workshops and run support classes for Maths and 11 plus preparation, this ensures pupils have a firm grounding in key concepts and are able to successfully apply logical working methods to different problems.

Shirley has helped her students reach their targets and in many cases exceeded them. With the student she focuses on exploring a several different learning styles before setting on one or a combination of different ones that best matches the student. She supports pupils of varied abilities by differentiating to personalise their learning with a range of tailor made resources so they are able to independently approach a problem themselves and confidently tackle it.

This effectively improves their performance and builds confidence which I believe is crucial to their academic development for both exam success and their learning within the classroom.
