After collaborating with the Sicilian Law Courts as a translator and interpreter for many years, Louise decided to put her knowledge to a different use and started teaching English to Italians.

Coming back home in 2014 she started teaching at Champs Learning. Here she was given lots of space in how to teach the children. which as far as she is concerned made this the best job in the world. If you would ask her to be specific about what she enjoys most about teaching without doubt she would say "When presenting something new and the students all look at you as if you are speaking an alien language – then slowly, slowly a little light appears and you can see that they have understood. That is the moment!".

She prefers older methods in teaching as she feels that today they do not give enough attention to the grammar, or even spelling. She believes that foundations are the basis of learning and without you won`t get very far. It was one of the first things she noticed about Champs they believe in learning thoroughly the foundations, before advancing.

For the last couple of years, she has been working with Champs on two new books on English Comprehensions; specifically, for the 11+ students. Children need to see as many different topic subjects in the comprehensions as possible, to not be traumatised by a comprehension that is talking about something they have never heard of. The idea is that the student learns regardless of the topic that the answers are in the comprehension.

Louise enjoys teaching with the methods those simplify the complicated topics. Louise has also developed few innovative techniques for reading comprehension and speed reading.
